War of the Worlds THREE

This is the third in a series of painting I did as my college senior project many years ago. My project was to do pre-production paintings for a ficticious film production of H.G. Wells "War of the Worlds", that would have stuck very closely to the time period and descriptions in Wells' novel. This painting depicts a three-legged Martain war machine called a "tripod", as it strides through a forest at night.
