Velma at the Haunted House

Prismacolor pencils on Canson tinted art paper. Part of a series I'm doing as a commission. Although created out of sequence, this is now the FIRST image in the series. Some of the other pieces in the series are in my gallery already. A HISTORICAL note, the creepy Victorian house seen in this drawing is based on the William Wheelock House that once stood in Manhatten Island. It was built in the late 1800's and was torn down in the early 1940's to make way for public housing. Here's a link to an actual photo of the house taken in 1936.
