Acrylic on masonite. Another sample for a short lived class I was trying to get off the ground at my local art and craft store. The original photo I based this upon was "borrowed" from a Digital Photography magazine...in other words, I stole it.

Perhaps, but stolen none the less. The class I was trying to get off the ground was "Painting from Photographs", so I thought it best to actually paint from a photo for the demo day, and it was a stunning photo....

i love that the highlights of this one veer more to one side.

the eyes are stunning, it looks like a cub to me, because the eyes are so innocent and clueless :D

The eyes were very important, and I spent a lot of time trying to gte that GREEN just right. I actually punched it up more than it was in the original phoito.Thanks for the kind words.

i think green eyes are the hardest to do, whether it be on an animal or person, they can look fake really easily, but these dont and thats why i was intrigued :)
