This was done for the DA member JAGUARO, who is working on a Scooby Doo fan comic book. The story is set during WWII, in Africa, and involves stolen documents, a living mummy, and plenty of Red Herrings. Several DA artists have contributed to this project and I was lucky enough to be asked to draw the cover. It still needs typography, which will be added digitally. It's drawn with Verithin Dark Brown colored pencil on Canson tinted art paper. The colors are digital and dropped in transparently so the paper texture comes through, to give the art a feeling of being old and done on parchment or papyrus.
