Night Lake

Another painting sample to demonstrate a potential art class possibility. This time painted in acrylics and done in a couple of hours. A friend suggested an acrylics class might do better in our area as the paint dries quickly and it is less expensive than oils. I cranked this out to see what I could do with the medium but QUICKLY.
I hadn't painted on raw canvas in a long time and the paint gave me some trouble. It just wouldn't flow of the brush the way I wanted it to. I prefer smoother painting surfaces I guess.I think I need to try this again on a smooth panel. I think I also need to differentiate more between the tree line and the clouds' color and form.
