Pencil on Bristol Board. I did this many years ago in college. Based on a publicity still from Universal's 1931 DRACULA with Bela Lugosi. Overall, I think it's reasonably successful, although the figure of Dwight Frye pains me to look at it. The head is just so bad!
Overall i'd say it's very successful...all the little details add quite a lot of depth to it and the time spent is very evident. You also did a good job capturing and conveying the gloomy atmosphere one would expect in Dracula's castle. I don't think the two figures are bad at all...i really think you did a great job with the suit. The head may be a tadbit too small, but no big deal...especially considering this is a piece you did quite awhile ago. I think it looks very nice indeed
pretty damn good in my opinion. Lots of little details that make up an amazing picture. You captured the essence of the scene very well. I think its quite good! ^.^

wow.. this is very good. Your attention to detail is amazing... the cobwebs for example, look very lifelike. You convey the sense of foreboding, that should be felt in Dracula's castle, very well. Just the way the light reflects off of the stairs leaves a sense of abandonment. Very well done
Hi Des, This is Bivouac using my wife's DA account. Actually I think Dracula's head is just fine, but Dwight Frye's head is big and clumsy looking, THAT'S the head I was complaining about.
